This class will introduce you to working with clay, from throwing on the wheel, to handbuilding, to glazing. Whether you are a beginner or more advanced student, all are welcome to learn new things and to further develop their skills. All materials included.

Join us for a project based class where we explore techniques for creating specific glazing effects using a variety of paint on glazes. The projects will be presented as both wheel thrown and hand built, so wheel experience is not necessary. As a bonus, you will use specific glazing brushes which are yours to keep! WS-123 Kurinuki Pottery (SP26) (May 06, 2026)

"Kurinuki" is a Japanese clay carving technique used to create vessels. It means "hollowing out". In this workshop, you will start blocks of clay and carving them to create a bowl and a vase. We will glaze our pieces in the 2nd class. No clay experience needed. All materials included.
