  Painting with watercolors is such a fluid and exciting process. We will explore the unique qualities of watercolors as we create our paintings. All skill levels welcome as we review the supplies and processes to complete works of art. Students will be able to work along with the instructor, as well as work on individual projects. We will master a variety of watercolor techniques.

  All experience levels welcome in this general pottery class.  We will cover both wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques in the 6 week course.  Experienced students can improve their skills and beginners can learn the basics. Everyone will create some unique pottery pieces.  The last class will focus on glazing.  A raku firing will be scheduled if the class is interested. All materials included.

  As the spring flowers burst forth and bloom we will use their beauty as inspiration to create flowers out of clay.   Every garden needs a clay garden totem to watch over the beautiful flowers and plants. You will design and create a themed totem using hand building techniques.  The totem will consist of 4-5 elements that will be glazed and stacked on a metal rod for your garden. Themes might be geometric forms, birds, animals, etc.  All materials included.

  Add a personal touch to your painting adventure with a handbuilt ceramic palette and a water cup with a brush holder.  No experience needed as we will use clay slabs to make the items in this 2 hour workshop. The pieces will be finished with a clear glaze by NHAC staff. Bring your 2 favorite brushes to the workshops. All materials included.
