  Using a variety of handbuilding techniques' pinching, slabs, molds, templates and extruded forms; we will create clay pieces for the home. Everything from plates, bowls, mugs, and serving trays, to baking pans, casserole dishes and dispensers. Pieces fill be glazed and fired and will be food, oven microwave and dishwasher safe. All materials included.

  All experience levels welcome in this general pottery class.  We will cover both wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques in the 6 week course.  Experienced students can improve their skills and beginners can learn the basics. Everyone will create some unique pottery pieces.  The last class will focus on glazing.  A raku firing will be scheduled if the class is interested. All materials included.

  Using small pieces of fused glass, you will arrange and stack the glass pieces on a kiln shelf to form a circular shape. The glass is then tack fused and slumped in a bowl shape to create a dish that looks like pieces of melted ice!  All materials included.

  In this intensive workshop, we will explore a variety of techniques to dye fabric. We will use plant material to eco dye, bundle dye and solar print. We will use fiber reactive dyes to ice dye fabric. Students will receive information on what kind of fibers and clothing to bring and what kind of plant material work best for dyeing.
